Imus in captivity

Just turned on the Imus in the Morning radio program for the first time since its re-debut back in, hell, December.

I’m wondering if things have changed. At that last tune-in he was telling me how he really wouldn’t mind having Al Sharpton in a foxhole with him (this in the context of Al Sharpton carefully monitoring Imus for any further strayings from Sharpton-approved commentary). At that point I concluded that Imus sounded like Winston Smith released to the street from Room 101, and I couldn’t muster the strength to listen again.

So, what’s the first thing I hear from him this time? That tomorrow he’s going to have Senator John Kerry on the program. And my question about that is, is there a lot of audience demand to hear the latest from John Kerry? Because that would surprise me.
