Barry Bonds has been indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice.

It’s a federal prosecution, and I think it’s just totally out of hand.

Later: The New York Times report on the Bonds indictment suggests that one needs to squint to make sense of these charges. Two grand juries heard testimony and expired without indicting Bonds. The perjury and obstruction charges were handed down by a third grand jury. That is indeed a lot of hard squinting.
