Dennis Miller does Harry Reid
Actually, I don’t think that Miller does full justice to the material. Maybe no one can. What’s funny about this video is that despite Miller’s usual comedy schtick, every word he says is true and there is no exaggeration.
Perhaps Reid deserves more respect. But when someone in his position declares a war “lost” while our forces are in the field, has he shown himself worthy of any respect? “Yes,” Harry effectively said, “the car bombers have defeated us. We must admit it and get out.”
That’s something one expects to hear from the Workers World Party, not from the Democratic majority leader of the U.S. Senate. What will Harry do the next time the gang crisis in Los Angeles climbs to another peak? “It’s time for Mexico to take back a city that is really a part of Mexico, not the United States.”
Sound absurd? Well, what exactly is the difference between surrendering a country to car bombers and surrendering a city to Mexico because of gang violence? Is the difference wide enough so that the latter is absurd while the former makes perfect sense?
