The Russian spy arrests

From the Times article:

Experts on Russian intelligence expressed astonishment at the scale, longevity and dedication of the program. They noted that Vladimir V. Putin, the Russian prime minister and former president and spy chief, had worked to restore the prestige and funding of Russian espionage after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the dark image of the K.G.B.

Experts? You would have to be an expert to be surprised by this, especially an expert consulted by the Times.

Of course, you can get a much more frightening and intriguing take on the legacy of the KGB in this amazingly prescient and on-the-mark counterterrorism thriller. You won’t put it down, and then you’ll stay up thinking about it.
