Scientist Al Gore assures that a lot of snow is big sign of global warming

Anthony Watts has the details. Read the comments, too.

Gore actually writes, “Fact: The world is warming at a quickening pace.”

He apparently missed the memo from his comrade Phil Jones (head of the CRU at East Anglia and central figure in the Climategate e-mail scandal), who now admits that there has been no statistically significant warming since 1995. (Something first pointed out by MIT’s Richard Lindzen.)

Gore seems to have missed several other memos as well. Like the one pertaining to the non-science about melting Himalayan glaciers included in an IPCC report.

It’s Gore’s tone, though, that fascinates me: his target audience seems to be third or fourth graders. About now, though, even kids that old probably have the facts straighter than Gore.
