Republicans won the governor races in both states.
Meaningless. Don’t buy it as anything but a couple of cans of soda from the rest stop vending machine. Out there on the big highway, the great combine stone-crushing harvester paver is mowing you off at the ankles and grinding you into the macadam.
The important race was the one featuring the insurgent conservative candidate in the upstate Saranac Lake congressional district (NY-23). He lost narrowly. Had he crushed the Democrat, that would have meant a little something. Apparently those folks up there haven’t seen enough.
