Newspapers are dying. That was happening before this recession, and a lot of them might not make it as far as the recovery.

Mark Krikorian on a report that the San Francisco Chronicle, the last daily in the city, could close as early as a few weeks hence (the first sentence in quotes is from a Wall Street Journal article):

“Given the industry’s current deep funk, the paper could lay off its entire staff and still not break even.” I don’t have an MBA, but that seems like a problem.
